A long fell race (20 miles / 3700ft) at this time of year nicknamed “The Beast ” is never going to be easy and the accompanying strong winds added to the toughness of covering the rough boggy terrain.
Located on the fells above Hebden Bridge the soup, tea and cakes provided afterwards brought us back to life.
