NOTES
- All Harriers will be given an age & gender-graded score according to the overall winning time of the race.
- The maximum score for a race is 100 points *per race run*. So while you can score more than 100 in an individual race, you can’t have more than 100 x the races you’ve run as your score. This means there is a maximum league score of 900 points (will anyone get it?) and a maximum category score of 400 (probably someone will get that one). In the event of a tie, precedence is decided by the head-to-head score record between the tied runners.
- Best four scores in each category (fell, trail & road) count towards that category’s prize.
- Best three from each category count towards the overall race league (maximum nine races).
- Only first-claim senior Ilkley Harriers (i.e. running in the event as “Ilkley Harriers”) will count in the League automatically. A second-claim senior member may have their result included and counted in the League as long as they contact the League administrator within two weeks of the race.
- Only ‘official’, published results are counted.
- Where available ‘chip’ times are used.
- Only the above races will be included in the 2025 league (ie you cannot nominate a ‘wildcard’ race).
- Where races are indicated full, number transfers may be allowed. Please keep an eye on Harriers socials to see if anyone’s advertising a number. If you’re dropping out of a race and number transfers are permitted – please post on Harriers socials in the first instance.
POINTS COMPENSATION: Anyone volunteering at a Harriers-hosted event (Ilkley Fell, Ilkley Trail, Pete Shields 10k, Ilkley Incline) will be compensated with their median point score ‘to date’ for that event (but they must already have run at least one league race for this to apply). Likewise, anyone who can’t make it to a race league fixture because they’re representing Harriers in a relay (eg Leeds Country Way, Bradford Millennium Way, Calderdale Way, Hodgson Bros, Fell Relays, Road Relays, etc) or in any other race where a set number of Harriers are required, will also be compensated with their median point score ‘to date’ for that event (but they must already have run at least one league race for this to apply).
