On Sunday, I went to the York 10k which started and finished at the Knavesmire race course.
The route was fantastic and very flat. We ran along popular spots in York including Bishopthorpe Road, next to the Minster and along the river.
Emily Gibbins ran a super time of 00:36:33 binging her home as 3rd in her category, 3rd lady and 35th overall.
Emily would have been soaking up the sun and the beautiful weather as I came to the finish with a time of 00:49:12 which knocked a fair few minutes off my old PB! This meant I was 50th in my category, 79th lady and 583rd overall.
It was such a lovely day and the race car park stayed open until tea time which meant we could go and explore York and find some yummy treats once we had finished. Put it in your calendar for next year!
