Bronze medal in my Age Group at the World Aquathlon Championships in Slovakia! Can’t quite believe that all happened yesterday! 2 weeks ago I had a minor tear in my hamstring and 3 days ago managed to somehow dislocate a rib so had basically written off this race. With all the help and support from my team at The Ilkley Osteopathic Practice I was pieced back together and I made the start line. I had no expectations, having not had any decent training in the lead up so decided to just go out there and enjoy every moment, and that I did, I loved every minute!!
Good swim, managing to cling on loosely to the front pack then clawed a couple of places on the 40 degree heat run! What an experience and it has most certainly re-ignited my mojo for triathlon. I hope to return to triathlon next year after getting married, and qualify for Worlds and Europeans in 2024, onwards and upwards!
