Ultra-Trail Snowdonia – Sat 11th Sept

From Jann Smith…

This mountain ultra of 32 miles taking in 11,000 feet of ascent is billed as “Beautiful beyond belief, Savage beyond reason,” and carries a disclaimer that you may die or seriously injure yourself doing this event … I liked it!

The challenge in particular for me was the very technical rock face scrambling sections and ridges which scared me but I managed to conquer!

The weather was drizzling and clagged in mostly which made the rocky course pretty dicey, a great adventurous event, with an elite worldwide field. Will Simmons had a fantastic run to take second place, as did I, unfortunately Paul wasn’t feeling too well and suffered!
