Tour of Pendle Fell Race – Sat 15 Nov 2025

From Katie Poulter…

A collective of hardy Harriers headed over to deep dark Lancashire to take on the classic tough fell race that is ‘The Tour’.

A big tick for any self respecting fell runner, this is a race that lures you into a false sense of confidence in the first half, only to serve up a series of leg destroying climbs in short succession in the second half, just when you need it least. The 17 miles packs in 4,500ft of ascent, chuck in some late autumn wild weather and you have the ingredients for a grand day out in the hills!

Nine harriers crossed the finish line; first in was Jonny McKenna (2hr:59) followed by George Whittlestone, Paul Carman, Ann-Kristin Marsham (2nd FV40), Charles Wain, Katie Poulter (3rd FV40), Richard Joel, Sacha Jones and David Norris. The ladies bagged 1st Ladies team winning some very generous vouchers and Paul Carman got the 100th runner £100 spot prize, not bad for a £14 entry fee!

Well done everyone!
