Thirsk 10M – Sun 16 Mar

Several long standing club records for the 10 mile distance tumbled at Thirsk on Sunday.

Nathan Edmondson won the race in an astounding 50:10, thereby setting new club records in both the MOpen and M35 categories. These records had stood for 35 years, having been set in March 1990 at Clitheroe by Jack Brown (51:49 MOpen) and Kevin O’Hara (54:36 M35).

Mark Hall has also recently attained a new age category and is now competing in the M65 category. His time of 1:00:01 is also a new club record, improving on Geoff Howard’s record from 2011 (1:05:17).

Jaysson Sawyer continues his amazing comeback from illness and ran a rapid 1:00:28

Finally Madeleine Morris ran an excellent 1:26:39 placing her in the top half of her FOpen category.

Well done all!!
