Tadcaster Tri – Mon 6 May

From Neil Chapman…

A great result for Christos Tzelis at the Tadcaster Sprint Triathlon on Bank Holiday Monday, when he beat almost 300 other competitors to win the race.

Christos did not get off to the greatest of starts and was two minutes down on the race leader at the end of the first transition, but managed to pull 25 seconds back on the 13k bike section. A storming 6k run to finish with, which was 1m 40s faster than the leader’s time, was good enough to see off the competition and win the race by the narrowest of margins, just 4 seconds, with a total time of 53.54.

It just goes to show it is not how you start that matters, but how you finish the race. Well done Christos!
