The League is a league of the 12 local Wharfedale schools, running from October to March . Selected schools organise Their own event and Ilkley Harriers coordinates the programme and the league tables.
Although there are races for Reception to Year 6 at each event, only the results from Years 3 to 6 count towards the League. Individual race details and results are on each race page below.

Running spikes and metal studded footwear must NOT be worn at any of the events. They can cause injury to fellow runners — please make sure your child runs in trainers or similar.
If an event needs to be cancelled on the Saturday morning the procedure is the same for every event: a decision is made at 8am and a message put on the JIH website and Facebook by 8.30.
We only use the results of children from Addingham, All Saints, Ashlands, Askwith, Ben Rhydding, Burley Oaks, Burley & Woodhead, Ghyll Royd, Menston, Moorfield, Sacred Heart and Westville.
There are 8 individual League competitions, and we typically count one less than the number of races completed in the season.
Ilkley Harriers provide engraved plates for the first six finishers in each of the 8 individual League competitions. Individual placing certificates are presented to every athlete who has competed in three or more races in the series.
The series concludes with relay races organised by Ilkley Harriers, followed by the presentation of awards and certificates. See the Nell Bank Relays race page for details.
