My last hilly race was the Ilkley Moor Fell Race 2020 just before lockdown. So it was nice to pull on the red and green vest once again at the Piethorne Trail Race over near Rochdale. A varied 6.4mile, 890ft elevation, route with trails alongside reservoirs, bridleways and a few sharp climbs up and over. I was 17th in a field of 119 and 2nd V55. A friendly race very well organised.
