With so many races happening on Sunday, including our very own Ilkley Moor Fell race, it was inevitable that the rescheduled Peco XC race would have fewer club participants. However, the 8 Harriers who arrived at the park were treated to a well organized event. The mixed terrain around the undulating course across fields, mud, tarmac and track mentioned in the pre race details may have caused some footwear conundrums as the only shoe that could be ruled out was spikes.
A staggered start saw the men complete 2 laps of the field before the ladies began their laps pursuing them into the Enchanted Forest and beyond.
With Spring in the air and a spring in her step, Emma Moore led the ladies home whilst Steve Gott did the same for the men. Diane Kitchen ran strongly and finished first in her age group.
