From Geoff Howard…
Three Harriers joined another 141 runners at Pateley Bridge for the local club’s annual 10k trail race. A classic, quite technical, climb of 320m up through fields and Guisecliff Wood to Abraham Crags, a tri point, then contouring along the Nidderdale Way before a return descent.
For Edward Hobbs (1st in a brilliant new record 38m 30s) and Rachel Holder (4th W50 in 64m 26s) it was their visit time whereas it was my second (1st M70 in 67m 17s).
Fortunately all of us finished before it got too hot. First woman was Martha Barker of Saddleworth in 47m 58s. A great well-organised event not too far away.
