Three of our young Harriers made the trip over to the Liverpool Cross Challenge at the weekend which attracts many of the country’s best cross country runners. The first part of the challenge was getting out of Ilkley’s sudden snowy conditions. Although the conditions were much different for the race with the sudden thaw providing plenty of mud. 

In the U20 race Archie Budding picked the right starting spot and had a great race finishing 45th in a large high quality field. Christos Tzelis had to start from the back and struggled to progress through the congested field of combined U17 and U20 runners eventually making his way up to finish 113th in this relatively short 4.5k race. Ed Hobbs elected to do the longer U23 race and had a good run finishing in a highly respectable 34th place. Well done guys.
