KAT100 by UTMB trail race – Sat 5 Aug

From Dick Waddington…

The KAT100 is a weekend of trail races based in Fieberbrunn in the Kitzbuhel Alps. Helen and I opted for the 50km route, which loops over the Wildseeloder mountain. Continuous rain the night before and all day made the trails as muddy as muddy can be and the visibility wasn’t much better! Some nice rocky sections took your mind off the mud. Descending a waterlogged ski slope is a must if you haven’t done it before – really quite like skiing! Experience of the Langdale Horseshoe fell race definitely paid off for us both.
