Joss Naylor Lakeland Challenge – Fri 31 May

From Jann Smith…

At 47 miles, with 17,000 feet of climbing, the JNLC is a tough mountain challenge.

It’s about three quarters of a Bob Graham Round, an East to West traverse of the Lake District. You have to touch 30 designated summits and have a time limit depending on age and gender set on Joss Naylor’s time for doing it.

I had 16 hours and after a sketchy first half with bad weather and stomach issues I was delighted to get round in a time of 14 hours and 24 minutes, solely supported all the way by Paul Carman.
