A few Harriers took part in the Ilkley Tri over the weekend with a great result for Christos Tzelis winning the race overall in a total time of 54:25, four and a half minutes ahead of the second place finisher. A short but tough race made more difficult for most of the Harriers who went off later in very wet conditions with a significant wind to contend with. This meant extra care down Curley Hill due to the slippery conditions, affecting some of the race times a little.

Other great podium results for Alex Foyn finishing 5th overall (2nd male over 20) and Tim Ashelford 11th overall (1st male over 60).

A nice touch, it was great to see local celebrity Jonny Brownlee out supporting one of his local races and presenting the prizes.
