On Saturday I ran my 4th Marathon / Ultra of the month, this time nearer to home. I took part in the “it’s Grim Up North”, Hubble Bubble Marathon – Day 1. The route is all along the Leeds Liverpool Canal, starting in Kirkstall running to Leeds where you turn around, run half a marathon in the opposite direction before turn round again and run back to the start.
While the route is more or less flat, I don’t find them as easy to run as some of the hillier routes.
On Saturday my time was 3:47:06 which took me to 5th place, the winner was Colin Johnstone in a time of 3:06:02, 25 ran.
