Twenty-five Harriers toed the start line on the first Harrogate and District Summer Race League race held in Skipton. A five mile road race with some significant hills to add a bit of spice, the only grass to negotiate was at the start and finish. Some of us who started towards the back, such as myself, were held up by a bottleneck on exiting Aireville Park, this was a bit frustrating. Otherwise an excellently organised event. Matthew Thackwray took the overall win! Jane McCarthy was 1st F50 and Diane Kitchen 2nd F65.
