There were two Harriers down in Derbyshire at the Darley Moor Race Track at the weekend. They were competing in the Darley Moor Sprint Duathlon, which consists of a 4.8k run – 18.3k bike – 2.4k run, so it is flat out all the way.

Lou Nash was first to go off in the ladies race and battled round to finish 3rd in the V55 category, a great result in this high quality race. Christos went in the last race and was battling with three other athletes (two elite) for all of the race, finally finishing 4th overall and 2nd in his age category. This means that both Lou and Christos have qualified for the World Sprint Duathlon Championship in Abu Dhabi in 2026. Next month Christos is off to compete in this year’s World Sprint Duathlon Championship in Pontevedra in Spain, through qualification last year.

Well done to Lou and Christos for their achievements at the weekend, and good look to Christos in Spain next month.
