It was a superb day for the Coniston Fell Race (8.7m, 3484 ft) on Saturday with route finding a lot easier than last year in the mist.
The race was won by Jack Wright from Ambleside in 1:14:53. Jack Gribbin from Ilkley had a great race to finish 34th in 1:31:15 and Iain close behind in 1:33:51 and 8th MV50. Kelly and I were close together all the way, with Kelly sprinting away on the road section at the end to finish in 1:56:07 (8th FV40) and me in 1:56:17 (4th FV50).
It’s a low key brilliant fell race with great views from the tops and highly recommended! Full results via the link below.
