From Mark Hall…

A long trip down to Mallory Park motor racing circuit in Leicestershire. I was last here in 1970 when my parents took me to watch the World professional cycling road race championships won by JP Monsere who soon after was killed by a motorist (sadly yet another). I have not returned since yet here I was 55 years later at the same venue, back then I could never have thought I would be competing and winning a British championship running event in the same place, life can be surprising!

The race was 3 laps of the race circuit with 6 tough climbs, dead turns and lots of wind! I managed to win my championship V65 category recording a time of 61.59.
