The Brian Sweet Predictor 10k drew a record turnout on Tuesday 5 March, making it the second successful event organised by Ilkley Harriers in three days! Several new faces were amongst the the 41 finishers.  

Geoffrey White won the prize for the most accurate prediction, his race time being just nine seconds away from his finish time. Runners up were Martin Campbell, 15 seconds; Steph Fox, 17 seconds; and Rob Cunningham, 21 seconds. Special thanks to Neil Chapman, Jonathan Turner for help with the organisation; sweepers Dawn Turner and Jayne Norman; race marshals Alison Weston, Jane Guillard, Sue Verspyck, Hilda Coulsey and  Alex Foyn.  

Brian Sweet was a long-standing member of Ilkley Harriers. He led club runs for new members every week for over two decades, introducing hundreds of runners to the sport. He continued running until reaching the age of 80. He died in 2017.
