From Helen Waddington…
This is the oldest 10-mile race in the country and previous winners have included Steve Cram and Ron Hill. It’s a fast course and the conditions for this year’s 69th race were near perfect. Over 550 mainly club runners took part including a sizeable Scottish contingent. The race is organized in traditional style with a gun start and stopwatch in the finish funnel – but full results were out within hours… An impressive event well worth the drive and recommended for anyone chasing a PB at this distance.
