From Iain Young…
I managed another PB of around a minute over in Beverley on Sunday. Collecting my number bib and finishers shirt from East Riding College, I had a laugh with the volunteers telling me ‘no pressure’ when handing over the number 3 bib – the lowest I’ve ever been given! A hot day for running but it made no difference to me, finishing within the top 4%, easily my best placing having been top 10% to 15% on my previous races – awesome progress!
The start was outside Beverley Minster heading out through the town centre, across Beverley Westwood (3k point was an incline), skirting the edge of Walkington and then the route returns into Beverley over the Westwood (downhill) and a good final stretch through the market towards the finish.
