A small field took on the inaugural Baildon 10k and 5k Trig Point Challenge. A tough off-road trail race to the Baildon Trig Point and back (for the 5k). The 10k had to do an additional few loops to the trig.
Mike AC the sole Ilkley entrant, tucked in behind the 10k winner Michael Malyon for the first lap, and then peeled off to win the 5k in 21:38 a good minute and a half ahead of 2nd place Jeff Singleton.
A small field of only 19 runners in the 5k, but as this will likely be the only ever win I have- it will live long in my memory.
