From Matt Snow…
Warm and muggy but thankfully dry conditions in heavy cloud cover greeted our arrival at Woodhouse Grove School for the Apperley Bridge Canter. A 10.5k run with a combination of trail, road and grass and three very distinct hill climbs nicely separated out across the race. It was a good turnout with 372 runners from mostly local running clubs.
Congratulations to Jack Cummings for finishing 1st in a time of 35.06, over three minutes ahead of second place. Jack was (not so closely) followed in by David Singleton (51.18 – 86th) and Matt Snow (52.35 – 106th). Congratulations to Louise Nash for finishing third in her age category (FV55) in a time of 59.29.
It is a well-organised and friendly event that I’ve not done for a few years but I will look to do so again in the future.
