On Sunday 18 May I made the long trip to West Suffolk to run the 30k Bury St Edmunds to Clare Castle country park. The race was a fund raiser for the local St Nicholas hospice.  An undulating course through the Suffolk countryside passing through a number of picturesque quintessentially English villages with thatched cottages and village greens. It was a warm day and the ground bone dry across many arable fields punctuated by some pretty woodland. I had gone to run with my brother who unfortunately had to pull out with injury at 6 miles so I ran on my own and was quite pleased with my run finishing 2nd FV60 and 21/91 female finishers in 3hrs 15 minutes.
