3 Dales Marathon – Run it Ride it for Manorlands
The inaugural 3 Dales event
Started with quite the ascent
With the wind at our backs
Winding up hill on tracks
Then to Hawkswick on a lovely descent
So the headwind up Mastiles Lane
To be frank was a bit of a pain
But I put my head down
And tried not to frown
Although humour was hard to retain
With 2 miles to go we descended
The views all around were just splendid
I ran and I ran
Couldn’t catch Ritchie and Dan
But in circa 5 hours my race ended!
