From Hilda Coulsey…
I headed to Leicester, missing the Fell Race volunteer duty, to road race aiming to lodge a good time. 10k is a hard distance to race, as I definitely reminded myself again today. Also whereas I expected it to be fairly flat the over 80m elevation didn’t help. The route though is pleasant through town into Victoria park and the University, snaking through both, before heading back to the start location in Jubilee square. Although it was cold the torrential rain from yesterday was gone.
I felt I did my best on the day, after a month of a heavy lingering cold, but was completely trounced by top of the UK rankings Dorothy Kesterton.
