The Buffs have landed!

Postby Paul on Mon Feb 08, 2010 2:18 pm

The Buffs are here and will be available to buy tomorrow night at Club at 10 pounds each.
This must-have and multi-purpose running garment has been produced in a limited run of 77 - when they're gone, they're gone.
So bring a nice crisp tenner, or a cheque payable to "Ilkley Harriers" and get yours now.

FAQ's
Are they real Buffs?
- Yes, made by Buff, designed by Buff for us, Buff logo, on Buff merchandising cards
What sort of Buffs are they?
- 'Original Buffs', 53/62cm head size (ie adult 'one size fits all'), 100% polyester microfibre
Why so cheap? Don't Buffs cost more?
- Bulk buying. They'd have been cheaper if the Pound-Euro rate wasn't so bad ...
Does the Club make a profit?
- That wasn't the idea. They cost us almost exactly £10.
Can I buy them in shops?
- No, sorry. You can buy one at Tuesday Club night or possibly other Club events where notified.
Cash or cheque with order please. No money, no Buff.
Can I reserve one?
- Not at the moment, sorry, we'll be focusing sales at Club nights.
Will the Club be buying more when they're gone?
- Maybe not for a while. 75 seems to be the economic minimum order quantity.
What's it look like?

24 Buffs sold on the first night! They're going like hot cakes.
Del-boy will have them at the Saturday morning family run and at next Tuesday night's Club Handicap run.
Get one before they're all gone. Just £10. Lovely Jubbly.

The Buffs will be on sale at tomorrow morning's family run, 9.30am (before the run) and 10.30am (after the run) to any Ilkley Harrier who happens to be passing by - Wells Rd, beneath White Wells.

(They'll also be on sale next Tuesday at Club before and after the Handicap run, and at the fell race if I can find someone to manage the sales (I'll be tied up race-organising).)

We've sold about half the Buffs in the first few days. Brian will have a few to sell at circuit training on Monday, and I will bring them to Club night on Tuesday again.
IF I can find someone to sell them at the fell race (to Ilkley Harriers only) then they'll be there too.
£10 cash, or cheque payable to "Ilkley Harriers".

Paul
I'm not able to get to club on a Tuesday but don't want to miss out on this year's must have accessory! I know you previously said we can't reserve them but as an alternative can I send a cheque for 2 and collect my purchase at the fell race? If so - who do I need to send the cheque to?

Cheers
Jo
