2010 road race rankings

It's early days, but I've set up a file of 2010 road race rankings: http://www.ilkleyharriers.org.uk/assets ... ings-1.pdf
We're only showing 10k & half marathon results so far, but already the fastest men's times this year are quicker than the ones achieved in the whole of 2009.

I'll update the 2010 rankings after tomorrow's time trial. So far this year only two people have run 5ks, so you have a chance to set an early marker on the rankings list.

To get in the top 10 rankings last year for 5k, the 10th fastest men's time was 18:16 & the 10th fastest ladies time was 22:46.

Please let me know of any errors or omissions. I'm missing some of the age categories, especially for those who ran the 5k time trial.

It's still very early in the year, but already the men's fastest time at 5k, 10k, 10m & half marathon are all quicker than the fastest time achieved in 2009, and all run by different runners. This shows that we seem to be making good progress in road racing.

I've updated the rankings to include this week's races at Rothwell & John Carr. In the men's 5k rankings we already have 8 runners who have run faster than 18 minutes this year, compared to just 6 in the whole of 2009 & 5 in 2008. Interstingly of the 6 from 2009, only Dave Wilby appears in this year's 5k rankings as well.

Looks like your time from last night puts you 2nd in the national rankings so far this year, great effort.

Well done to all our Yorkshire Vets podium finishers last night, another great Harriers turnout.
