2008 and 2009 just under 115% would have qualified in top 25 - yesterday it was 113.6% and needed 5.42 per mile for the 56miles to sneak in.

Our 3% improvement from 2008 is a great performance and although the end result is not what we were hoping for we had a great run. So next year - we need some of Tom's training tips and more speed work and/or course with more hills - but if we improve as much again then we will be well in the top 25 !!

I've been informed by Terry Lonergan that the average age of the Sale Harriers team that finished second was 26.9, compared to our average age of 39.5. Their oldest runner was 36, whereas we only had 3 runners under 35. On an 'age graded' basis we would probably have done quite well.
