Dewsbury 10k

Entries are now open for the Dewsbury 10k on February 7th. It's always popular with Ilkley Harriers & will be the first road counter in the 2010 league.

For those who haven't run it before, it's a fast out & back course, slightly uphill going out & downhill back. Be prepared for it being cold, last year was minus 2 degrees at the start.

Good luck to everyone running on Sunday. According to the entry list http://www.dewsburyroadrunners.co.uk/cgi/10k.php#, there are 16 of us from Ilkley heading for the scenic delights of Dewsbury & Batley.

The team results look a bit odd....currently we're 10th men's team (out of 38) & 3rd ladies team (out of 15). However, they've included Justin's time in the ladies team, not the men's. Once corrected I think that we'll be about 6th men's team in a very high quality field & beating clubs such as Pudsey & Bramley, Abbey, Bingley, Otley & many others.

Good to see Justin's improvement over the last few months continue to pay dividends, with a thoroughly deserved team spot on the podium Maybe we could lone him out for the road relays as well Henry, i'm sure he'd put on a good show in the 6-stage in March

Well done all, never thought i'd enjoy myself running up and down Dewsbury's main street but I had a great time, might even venture out for another one before too long, eeek!
