Tuesday 9th October offroad run -AGM Night

Postby nikos » Thu Oct 04, 2012 6:18 pm

As next Tuesday is the IH AGM I will take a group out this time not going towards the moor but heading towards Middleton woods, up through the fields towards the monastery and then follow the route the Ilkley trail race follows to descent down to the club on country roads.

A light trail shoe would be recommended and a well charged head torch. As the AGM starts at 8:40 this run will be on the tempo side but nothing blazing fast, let s say anything less than 8 min miles average with all the inclines we have to tackle. About 7ish miles I think and meeting at the club at 7.

Light trail shoes will be just fine for anyone that wants to go for the offroad headtorch run tomorrow through the woods towards langbar!! That s Tuesday 7pm at the tennis club. Reccied the course just this morning...and what a magical morning it is!!!

Presume you will be regrouping Nicos? 8 min mile pace off road in the dark sounds quite swift but I'd like to join you to avoid having to run on the roads this winter.

Hi Jo

We ll be regrouping and stick together! That s the plan for this winter stay off the roads as much as we can and if we do any roads they ll be country lanes where we can run in the middle to avoid pavements.

We will run faster where we can run faster take it steady and careful on dark trails.

See you all at 7
