Annual Awards for 2009

Postby Paul » Thu Dec 17, 2009 7:32 pm

At the next Committee meeting on Tuesday 5th January the Committee will decide the recipients of the Ilkley Harriers Annual Awards.
There are 5 main categories: best runner, most improved runner, best endurance runner, best under-20 runner, and contribution to Club. All categories have awards for male and female, so that's 10 awards in all.
Although the Committee will be doing their homework, poring over the newsletter and web site reports for 2009, all Club members are invited to nominate fellow Club members for these awards. Think of it as one of those 'end of year' quizes that are in all the papers.

There is a nomination form attached here that you can print off, or just send an email to Paul Stephens at secretary@ilkleyharriers.org.uk. Or there will be forms to complete at Club nights on the next 3 Tuesdays.
The winners will be a closely guarded secret until the Presentation Evening (more on that soon) on Friday 29th January, when they will be heaped with adulation and receive splendid trophies.

Last night's Committee meeting is postponed to 19th January so you have one more week to make your nominations for the Annual Awards - please let Paul Stephens have them by 12 January.

There is a PDF in the post above that can be printed and given in next Tuesday, or the tech-savvy might like to complete the attached Word document and mail it to Paul Stephens at secretary@ilkleyharriers.org.uk
