HoMNom time! The Committee are meeting on Tuesday, so please take a few minutes to check out the website - this is just a summary and I will have overlooked somebody so please help me out!
Starting with the fells Kate Archer was a superb 2nd lady at Pendle Round and then 6th at Black Combe. The Haworth Hobble drew 5 hardy Harriers out who all tackled the 30 odd miles - Ben Sheppard getting a PB and coming an impressive 29th overall, and Jane McCarthy, Derek Oliver, Adela Reperecki and Amanda Parnaby all finishing the course which was a British trial race for a GB vest so stiff competition this year. Ben Joynson came an impressive 40th at the Mighty Deer Stalker multi terrain event and Martin Archer took 4th place at the Rivock Edge Fell race.
Jack Wood continues his impressive run of results taking first place at Heptonstall fell race, 2nd at Edale Skyline and 8th in the Long Mynd Valleys which was an English Fell Champs race.
More wins for Tom Adams at the Montserrat Skyrace (new Course Record) and also Cartmel Trail Race.
On the roads, Lucy Williamson took on her first half marathon, finishing 4th lady in the Anglesey half marathon in a time of 1.27.55. Four Harriers preparing for spring marathons completed Trimple 20 and 10 Harriers took part in the Bradford 10K on a blustery day, with Pauline Munro taking 1st LV40. Caroline Howe, Will Wood and Jan Carrier all took part in Keighley BigK 10K, Will coming 3rd in his age category and Caroline achieving a PB of 48.52. Caroline also took part in the Haweswater half marathon finishing close to a personal best. There’s been lots of impressive Parkrun times/placings this month as well.
