Harrier of the Month time!

Congratulations everybody who has been out racing this month - all that MUD! The ever popular Rombald’s Stride drew a high number of Harriers despite the typically gruelling conditions - so many great performances with 5 Harriers in the top 20 including Jane McCarthy taking first lady position and Jack Wood 2nd position. Amanda Parnaby completed the race for an impressive 15th time and Paul Stephens an amazing TWENTY ONE! Take a look at the results and please nominate those who you know have improved or trained hard.

On the road Petra Bijsterveld knocked an impressive 45 seconds of her 10k PB at Dewsbury (despite the course being officially long!) and Dave Ibbotson flew the Ilkley flag in Barcelona completing the half marathon in 1.55. More great Parkrun results including first positions for Jack Wood at Skipton (17.03) and a week later at Newby Bridge (18.12). Hilda Coulsey got an impressive sub 26 min time at Skipton (25.48) and another sub 23 for Geoff Howard (22.53).

More mud than you can shake a stick at at the XCs - Peco and English National events drawing a good number of Harriers out. Great results from the juniors - Matt Newell and Jemima Elgood both being well placed in their categories.

Another win for Tom Adams at the Windy Hill Fell race followed up by winning the Ilkley Fell Race which brought a huge runout of Harriers - congratulations everyone - so many impressive times and results across all categories - difficult to highlight one in particular because there are so many! So please take a few minutes to look at the website and see who deserves your vote this month. As always this is just a prompt and please nominate anyone who has been overlooked. Also please remember to nominate your volunteer of the month as well. Nominate here or email homnom@ilkleyharriers.org.uk
