Well it’s the perfect excuse - settle down with just one more mince pie and a nice cup of tea and check out the IH website and get your nominations in for Harrier of the Month! And don’t forget volunteers as well. The Committee is meeting on Tuesday so nominations before then please. Post on Facebook or email homnom@ilkleyharriers.org.uk.

Starting with the Parkruns - very popular this month producing lots of great times and places - Tim Ashelford was first runner at Hatfield Forest, Jack Wood first at Skipton and Cameron Reilly first runner at Bradford. Also good to see Geoff Howard back to fitness and getting great times at parkruns every week and all over the county!

On the festive side Tom Adams had a great win at The Stoop and Sarah Pickering continues to put in great performances taking 2nd lady. Other great times/places from Jemima Elgood, Dan Hayes, Jamie Hutchinson, Richard Joel and Kate Archer all coming in the top 100 runners. The Chevin Chase brought more success for Tom Adams who was just 7 seconds behind the winner Jonny Brownlee - amazing. Jack Wood and Tim Ashelford also gave great performances, Tim first V50 and 25th overall. Lots of Harriers taking part in both these races so please scan the results and name anyone you know who has put in the time and training.

The scenic Ribble Valley 10k saw a great sub-40 minute result for Steve Coy and Sally Malir took 1st V50,

Watch out for more results this weekend - the Auld Lang Syne on Saturday and more parkruns.

As always please feel free to pick out other Harriers who may not appear in the top places but may have improved or put in special training for a particular race. Also, remember to put in your nominations for our annual awards - who has impressed you in 2016 with their dedication, commitment or a particular personal goal or achievement - name names!!
